“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Kuala Lumpur Airport. Local time is 14:30 and the temperature is 27°C.
For your safety and comfort, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened until the Captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign. This will indicate that we have parked at the gate and that it is safe for you to move about. Cellular phones may only be used once the Fasten Seat Belt sign has been turned off…”
I woke up hearing the pilot’s announcement as the aircraft touched down, and turned off the active runway and taxiing to the gate,
After 4 hours Air Asia AK10 landed at KLIA 2 Gate Q13 by 14:30(GMT+8). I waited until everyone alight. I was totally clueless about where to head. Because that was my first layover experience. I always preferred to take direct flights for my travels. But from the vlogs, I watched I knew I need to go through the international transit. But where will that be?? Hoping to see a signboard or ground staff. I got off the aircraft.
Luckily one of the cabin crew was waiting outside the gate to guide the passengers. I sought her help.
I started walking straight, as per the direction she gave. Walked through that deserted pathway I wondered if I was the only person traveling to Bali on that flight. After 5 mins luckily I found a board written International Transit on it.
I passed through the security check of the international transit and walked towards my gate Q3 passing another round of security check. I waited there for about 15-20mins. And by 15:50(GMT+8) they opened the boarding gate and I boarded my next flight AK378 from KLIA2 to Denpasar (DPS).
The feeling I had when I was boarding that flight is incomprehensible. To a place, I have seen only in videos and pictures. My first solo trip!! I never knew I will ever go on a solo trip. I had nothing but the view from KelingKing cliff and the excitement to trek the Mt.Batur volcano, then in my mind.
After 3 hours of flight, I landed at I Gusti Ngurah International Airport Denpasar at 19:15(GMT+8).
